# How can we *help?* Quick answers to the most common questions about Perthro. Can't find yours? Email [support@perthro.io](mailto:support@perthro.io) and a person will reply within two business days. ## Getting started ### How do I get Perthro? {#get-perthro} Perthro is free on the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/perthro/id6764673686). It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. ### Is Perthro free? Yes. Logging, reviews, unlimited lists, all three platform connections and exporting your data are free for everyone. **Perthro Pro** and **Perthro Hero** are optional subscriptions that add extras; see [what they include](#subscriptions). ### Which languages does Perthro support? English, French (including Canadian French), Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German and Japanese. Perthro follows your iPhone's language; to change it for Perthro only, go to Settings → **Language**, which opens iOS Settings. ## Account & sign-in {#account} ### How can I sign in? With **Continue with Apple**, or with an email and password. Discord and Twitch are under **More sign-in options**. New email accounts need to confirm their address from the email we send. ### I forgot my password. On the sign-in screen, type your email, then tap **Forgot password?** and we'll send a reset link. Once signed in, you can change your password or email in Settings → **Account & profile** → **Sign-in & security**. ### How old do I need to be? Perthro is for ages 16 and up, and asks for your birthdate after sign-up. For 16- and 17-year-olds, mature games and reviews stay hidden. If you entered your birthdate by mistake, email us; it can't be changed in the app. ## Steam, Xbox & PlayStation {#platforms} ### How do I connect my Steam, Xbox or PlayStation account? {#connect} Go to the **You** tab, tap the gear icon, then **Connections** → **Connected accounts** and choose **Connect Steam**, **Connect Xbox** or **Connect PlayStation**. You sign in on the platform's own page; Perthro never sees your password. Connecting is free, and you can connect all three. ### What gets synced? - **Steam:** your games, playtime, achievements and when you last played. - **Xbox:** your games, achievements and Gamerscore. Xbox doesn't share playtime. - **PlayStation:** your games, playtime and trophies. ### My Steam games or playtime aren't showing up. Steam only shares this when your profile **and** game details are set to Public in Steam's privacy settings. Change them, then tap **Sync now** on your Steam account in Connected accounts. ### PlayStation asks me to reconnect. PlayStation sign-ins expire after a while. Perthro warns you a few days ahead; tap **Tap to reconnect** and sign in again. Your synced games stay where they are. ### How often does Perthro sync? Every time you open the app (at most every six hours), or whenever you tap **Sync now**. Turn on **Auto-sync** for an account to sync twice a day even when the app is closed. ### How do I disconnect an account? Tap **Disconnect** on it in Connected accounts. Your logs and reviews stay; the data imported from that platform is removed. ## Your library {#library} ### How do I add Nintendo or physical games? In the **Library** tab, open the **Add games** menu and choose **Add games**. Search, select as many as you like, and they're added to your shelf. The same menu has **Mark what you've beaten** for catching up on finished games. ### A game is missing from search. Perthro's game data comes from [IGDB](https://www.igdb.com). If a game isn't there, it can't be added in Perthro yet. You can submit it to IGDB, and it appears in Perthro once IGDB approves it. ### Can I import my history from another app? Yes. **Library** → **Add games** → **Import CSV** reads exports from Backloggd, HowLongToBeat, Steam export tools and Perthro itself. Imported games don't post to your feed or earn XP. With Steam connected, **Import Steam wishlist** is in the same menu; the wishlist needs to be public. ### Can I export my data? {#export} Yes, for free: - **Your library as a spreadsheet:** Settings → Library → **Export library** saves a CSV. - **Everything:** Settings → **Account & profile** → Your data → **Download my data** saves a full copy as JSON. ## Logging {#logging} ### How do I log a game? Tap the **+** in the tab bar, find the game, and add your rating, status, platform and dates. Long-press **+** to quick-log one of the games you're playing now. ### Does logging work offline? Yes. A log saved without a connection stays on your phone and uploads the next time you open the app online. Don't sign out before it uploads: signing out clears anything that hasn't synced yet. ## Privacy & safety {#privacy} ### How do I make my profile private? Settings → **Privacy & feed** → **Profile visibility**: Public, Followers only or Private. Your username and avatar stay findable so friends can find you. ### How do I block, mute or hide something? Tap the **…** on a post to hide it, mute its author, or hide that game from your feed. On a profile, **…** → **Block**. Undo any of these in Settings → Privacy & feed → **Blocked & muted**. ### How do I report a user, review or comment? Tap **…** on the post, comment or profile and choose **Report**. Reports are reviewed by the Perthro team. See our [Community Guidelines](/community). ### What does Perthro collect when the app crashes? Crash reports go to Sentry without your name, email or screenshots, tied only to a random install ID. You can turn them off in Settings → Privacy & feed → Diagnostics → **Crash reporting**. More in the [Privacy Policy](/privacy). ## Notifications {#notifications} ### How do I choose which notifications I get? Settings → **Notifications**. Turn follows, likes, comments and mentions on or off, plus game alerts for price drops, release days and a weekly deals recap. Set **Quiet hours** to hold pushes overnight; they still show up in your in-app inbox. ## Subscriptions {#subscriptions} ### What do Pro and Hero include? - **Pro:** no ads, advanced backlog filters, the Pro stats pack, Home and Lock Screen widgets, and a custom colour picker. - **Hero:** everything in Pro, plus a supporter badge, a custom profile font, an animated avatar and alternate app icons. Both come monthly or yearly. Details are in the [Subscription Terms](/subscription-terms). ### I paid but don't see my subscription. Tap the membership card at the top of Settings, then **Restore purchases**. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you bought with. ### How do I cancel, or get a refund? Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Cancel from Perthro's Settings (**Manage subscription**, or tap the membership card at the top), or in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com). Deleting your Perthro account doesn't cancel a subscription. ## Deleting your account {#delete} ### How do I delete my account? {#delete-account} Settings → **Account & profile** → **Delete account**. You confirm by typing DELETE and entering a code we email you. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, logs, reviews, lists and images are removed right away. Cancel any subscription with Apple first. More on [deleting your account](/delete-account). ## Other questions {#other} ### Is there an Android version? Not yet. We'd like to get there, but it isn't scheduled. The [roadmap](/roadmap) shows what we're building next. ### Where can I talk to other players?
